Innocence and Experience

Indomitable embarks on its second production following the very successful tour of Britten’s Five Canticles in 2013. Innocence and Experience is an emotional and honest piece of puppetry theatre. Coupled with voice and oboe, this production finds its roots in Vaughan-Williams’ song-cycle Ten Blake Songs. With the devised puppetry of celebrated puppeteer Joni-Rae Carrack and under the direction of Roxana Haines, Innocence and Experience provides a brief but powerful look into the lives of  a couple unable to conceive and their journey through the adoption process. This production conveys the intermingled sorrow and pure joy of the care sector. We welcome feedback as we aim continually develop this piece for future performance.
